Donate to the Foundation During the 2017 DoMore24 Event

The Foundation for FCPS is once again taking part in Do More 24, a 24 hour fundraising event for local non-profits, hosted by the United Way of the National Capital Area.  This year’s Do More 24 event will run from Midnight to Midnight on Thursday, June 8.

All funds raised through the 2017 Do More 24 event will benefit our Kids in Need Fund, created to assist the over 52,000 FCPS students living in poverty.  The fund provides school supplies, coats, clothing, shoes, grocery gift cards, laptops and computers and other necessary items that allow students to be successful in school.

Please support the Foundation by making a donation through this link:  The first $15,000 raised for the Foundation during this 24 hour period will be matched dollar for dollar. The United Way is also offering participating organizaitons the chance to compete for up to $82,000 of prize money.  The more donations we receive, the greater our chance to receive prize funding!

So mark your calendar for June 8th and support the Foundation for FCPS!  Thanks!

Program News: Cyber Patriot

The Foundation for FCPS raises funds to assist the school system in achieving some of its strategic initiatives. We are pleased to have funded, with a special grant from the Community Foundation, new Cyber Patriot clubs in 7 middle schools in 2016-17, with 4 more schools slated to come on board in 2017-18. These clubs have made us proud, and have now competed in three Cyber Patriot competition rounds with exceptional results. We will be seeking additional funding and corporate support going forward, with mentors and team coaches.
